高考英語詞匯：冠詞的省略
冠詞的省略
零冠詞主要指不能運用冠詞的情況，冠詞的省略主要指可用可不用冠詞的情況，這與名詞前零冠詞的運用是不同的。
1.文章標題、書名等前冠詞的省略
文章的題目、新聞標題、廣告語、書名、電報中，在不引起歧義的情況下，冠詞可不用，從而使行文更加簡明、快捷。
History of China before the Han Dynasty 《漢朝以前史》(書名)
Guangzhou Export Commodities Fair Opens 廣州對外出口商品博覽會開幕(新聞標題)
Fully furnished flat to let 全新裝修公寓出租 (廣告)
2.部分并列或對稱名詞前冠詞的省略
(1)兩個并列名詞都有冠詞在前面時，第二個名詞前的冠詞常可被省略。
Is the baby a boy or (a ) girl?
這個嬰兒是男孩還是女孩？
Both the old and (the) young will be invited to the party.
年老的和年輕的都會被邀參加這個宴會。
(2)在一些對稱結構中，常常可以將冠詞省略掉。
from (the) east to (the) west從東到西
from (the) morning till (the) night從早到晚
from (the) beginning to (the) end從頭到尾
(3)序數詞前定冠詞的省略
在某些情況下，序數詞前的定冠詞常省略。
月日表達中：March (the ) eighth
并列使用兩個序數詞，后面序數詞前的定冠詞常省略。
the twentieth and twenty-first centuries等。
在某些動詞短語中，序數詞常省略。
take first place獲得冠軍
come out first結果獲得第一名

catch (a) cold感冒
take (a) pride in以……為豪
