霍爾頓一直都希望自己可以變得很勇敢，但是實(shí)際卻是他一直都很膽小，被別人欺負(fù)后只能在做白日夢的時(shí)候幻想著可以把他打敗，他連一個(gè)瘦弱的女人都制服不了，更何況別人呢?他被學(xué)校開除后，都不敢貿(mào)然回家，躡手躡腳地回去還一定要躲避著父母。他一直都在用一些不切實(shí)際的幻想安慰自己，卻沒有膽量去做真正意義上的叛逆。
