在老家的時候，我和媽媽很閑，就養了一只小鴨玩。我招來所有伙伴，一起找紙箱，給小鴨做了個大豪宅，有窗戶、門和一個小袖珍池塘，這可把它給樂壞了，它匆匆竄進屋，嘎嘎叫個不停。
我的小鴨很乖，但很貪吃。早上，它就睡大覺，腿彎曲，像一個小毛團，大概是養足了精神，下午它就像變了個人似的，大吃大喝，吃飽了沒事干，還快步到別人家里找別的小鵝小雞玩，通常要幾個小時后才回家。它每天除了睡覺、吃食，就是玩耍。
夜里，小鴨子睡得可死了，多么使勁地叫它，它也無動于衷，像一個小孩子。但是，夏天的時候，它別想再安寧了，蚊子叮得它嘎嘎直叫，頂尖銳，頂凄慘，我不得不前去滅蟲。
