Well, oneof the most popular websites in my country is called BAIDU.COM due to thefollowing reasons. Firstly, many people including me have been accustomed tosurfing its page to search for some information we need. As everybody knows,baidu.com is a a famous and effective searching website on which we can findthousands of replies to the questions in our mind. Additionally, most of ustend to use this website to read recent news, which is very convenient. Lastbut not the least, the simple and clean design of its major page is anotherreason why people enjoy using it.
Task2
Leaving some timefor group discussion in class is beneficial for study .Do you agree or not?

As far as I amconcerned, Leaving some time for group discussion in class has much benefit. Firstof all, it enables us to exchange ideas directly after teacher’s instruction,which helps improve our learning efficiency and producing new ideas during thecourse of class. If we get confused, we can have someone to ask or discuss withat once. Moreover, when we discuss and argue with our partners, groupdiscussion also provides us a way to reduce negative emotions and improveinterpersonal communication skills. Talking with others, exchanging ideas,discussing and even debating has been proved as efficient ways to reducenegative feelings.
Task 3
Reading：學(xué)校要求學(xué)生完成一篇比較復(fù)雜的論文seniorthesis, 需要學(xué)生做調(diào)研，同時(shí)給學(xué)生配置一個(gè)facultyadvisor,可以幫助學(xué)生解決關(guān)于research skill的問(wèn)題。
Listening：The boythinks it is a great idea.

1)：他們以前沒(méi)做過(guò)類似的作業(yè)，在research 的過(guò)程中可以學(xué)到很多;

Task 4
Reading：一種帶給人舒適體驗(yàn)的design，有了這種設(shè)計(jì)，可以幫助人們提高工作效率。
Listening：教授以自己為例。以前在辦公室工作，電話總響，他在接聽(tīng)電話時(shí)還要找file,于是電話只能用肩膀和頭夾著，肩膀和脖子一直固定成一種姿勢(shì)。于是不久他的脖子就感到很不舒服，后來(lái)學(xué)校給他換了一種新的device :headphone,他就可以用麥克風(fēng)接電話，而且能隨意走動(dòng)，讓他可以做更多事情，脖子舒服了，工作效率也提高了。

Problem: 學(xué)校的poetry club今年招收了20名成員，男生的苦惱是太多人報(bào)名poetry reading event ，舉辦場(chǎng)地cafeteria只提供給他們一個(gè)小時(shí)閱讀時(shí)間，規(guī)定時(shí)間內(nèi)根本進(jìn)行不完活動(dòng)。
Solution 1：只選其中一部分人參加活動(dòng),但另一部分人會(huì)失望;

講了discontinue technology這種新技術(shù)的兩個(gè)缺點(diǎn)
1.Research 過(guò)程會(huì)很長(zhǎng)，會(huì)耗費(fèi)較大人力物力使得產(chǎn)品變貴，只有小部分消費(fèi)者會(huì)買;
舉例說(shuō)明：electric car需用電池來(lái)驅(qū)動(dòng)，車很貴。
2.人們可能因?yàn)橘?gòu)買了新科技的產(chǎn)品需要改變他們的行為習(xí)慣。例如：購(gòu)買了電動(dòng)汽車，就意味著如果他們計(jì)劃一個(gè)旅行時(shí)就要走能給電池充電的地方的路線，且這種充電地方比加油站找起來(lái)更難些。

Task1：Your school is thinking about requiring all students to complete 40 hours of community service each year by volunteering their time to help local group. Do you think this is a good idea？Talk about the advantages and/or disadvantages of this requirement.
Sample：Personally， I hold a negative opinion about that. Sure， the community service could help students build some social experience， but do they really use the 40 hours effectively？ It is easy to see that， in order to complete the compulsory task， some students may try to get a certificate to prove they already did such a job but they actually not. And also， students are busy with tons of school works， for those students who are talented in certain areas， let`s say， chemistry. They should spend more time on doing chemistry experiment but not doing something out of their interests. But for others that are into social work， we should encourage them to do so. After all， its a volunteering activity.
Task2：Do you agree of disagree with the following statement？ All workers should be required to stop working and retire by age 65. Use details and examples to explain your opinion.
Sample：In my opinion， yes， people should retire when they grow into a certain age. For the first reason， employees have already been through such a long period of working years. So they really need a time to take a break and to live a relaxed life. Like my grandpa， since he retired at his 65 years old， family members dont have to worry about his health condition as he has more time to do exercise. And also， young people should get a chance to experience the higher position. For example， my cousin is a talented director in his company. However， his boss told him that only if the current 65 years old CEO retires he could be able to take the place.
Task3
Reading： Student proposes that the university increase the capacity of our campus theater by adding more seating. Firstly， theres not enough room to accommodate the students that would like to see the play. Secondly， university could earn more from selling tickets.
Listening： The students disagree with this opinion. Firstly， he didnt see the theater was full of people. Although for some special shows it was a little crowded， thats shouldnt be the issue. Secondly， adding more seats would increase the universities budget and it takes times. University will spend more time to earn the money back.
Task4
Reading： Generalization to Avoid Predators
Animals can sometimes recognize the predators by their similarity to predator they are familiar with. This phenomenon is known as generalization.
Listening： 教授給了個(gè)魚(yú)的例子，一種m小魚(yú)在被一種lake啥魚(yú)攻擊的時(shí)候，總是聚成一團(tuán)躲避攻擊。于是科學(xué)家們把m小魚(yú)和另兩種吃m小魚(yú)的大魚(yú)坊在一塊兒了，m魚(yú)聞到一種和lake魚(yú)相似的捕食者的味道時(shí)，就抱團(tuán)了。但是在他們另一種完全跟lake魚(yú)不一樣的大魚(yú)時(shí)，他們就沒(méi)覺(jué)察到危險(xiǎn)。
Task5
Problem：男的訂機(jī)票訂錯(cuò)日期，他那天有物理考試
Solution 1：改機(jī)票，缺點(diǎn)是要花好多錢
Solution 2：提前考試，但是他那天還有另兩門考試

倆market research，第一張是數(shù)量的research，第二種是觀點(diǎn)的research。汽車公司先大量的做了個(gè)調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn)有小孩兒的家庭不買他們的車，沒(méi)有小孩的很多人買。然后他們又做了個(gè)opinion research，發(fā)現(xiàn)有小孩兒覺(jué)得他們的后座太窄，他們的孩子坐著不舒服！
