(1)名詞做定語。即n1修飾n2, n1必須為單數(shù)。
color effects, employment agencies, sentence form, tree trunks, tomato crops, Sister lotus
例外：
a sales girl, a sales tax, a greetings card, a sports car(賽車), a savings bank(儲蓄銀行),a communications satellite, a systems engineering
例題：
In the United States, (about) 75 percent of (the total) (tomatoes) crop (is processed) into juice, canned tomatoes, causes, pastes, and ketchup.
答案: C tomatoes—〉tomato
It has been reported that (during) any twenty-four (hour) period, (a minimal of) three hundred North American women (start) their own businesses. 形容詞
答案: C minimalàminimum
(2)man或woman修飾noun.時(shí)，其單復(fù)數(shù)應(yīng)該同時(shí)變：a woman boxer ! women boxers
例題：

(3)表示某一學(xué)科的教授、學(xué)生、教科書、實(shí)驗(yàn)室等與教學(xué)相官名詞時(shí)，只能用學(xué)科名本身修飾
